Boys & Girls Club 60 Mile Ride for 2018
Here is the Cue Sheet for the 60 mile route for GTD2018 with the one change in the route at mile 16.2.
At registration, we will give you a cue sheet for your route and an updated map, printed on sturdy paper. The cue sheet will have all the phone numbers you may need if you have a problem: Phone numbers for all the Rest stops, our sag drivers and Ryan Squires, our Command Center person. You should carry THAT cue sheet with you. We will also have maps for each route.
Here’s a link to the 60 mile route on MapMy Ride that has been updated for 2018. There is one minor change in this route for 2018. You should be able to access that link. You may need to join MayMyRide (free) and “friend” Moss Kahler, the creator of the map. This links can be uploaded to your phone or Garmin.
All three routes follow the same route from the Graduate Center to the 1st Rest Stop in Turners Falls. All routes cross 3 sets of RR tracks on the way to Turners Falls. Be very careful on these RR crossings. We suggest you SLOW DOWN OR DISMOUNT.

NOTE: You will cross RR tracks 3 times on the way out. BECAUSE OF THEIR OBLIQUE ANGLE, BE VERY CAREFUL, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE WET. SLOW DOWN OR DISMOUNT.
NOTE: Due to bridge work, a short detour occurs along RT 10 before the first rest stop at mile 16.2. The change is included in this cue sheet.
NOTE: This route is marked on the ground with fluorescent pink arrows. They are used only where the route makes a turn from one road to another. Two arrows mark each turn, one approx. 100′ prior to the turn and a second at the turn. Occasionally, an arrow pointing straight ahead may be used for clarity.
0.0 Turn LEFT out of Marlboro Grad School parking lot. Go South on Vernon Rd (Rt. 142 thru Vernon and West Northfield, MA) for 14.8 miles to stop sign at Rt. 10. Be careful crossing 2 Rail Road tracks in this section before Mile 14.8.
14.8 Turn RIGHT onto Rt. 10 and continue for 1.4 miles to second left. CAUTION, traffic may be heavy on Rt. 10.
16.2 Take second LEFT onto Gill Rd (Do not turn onto Shaw Rd) and ride 0.6 miles to stop sign. Cross third RR track on this road.
16.8 Turn RIGHT onto unmarked Turners Falls Rd (becomes W Gill Rd) and continue for 3.7 miles to stop sign.
20.5 Turn RIGHT onto Main Rd, ride downhill for .5 miles to traffic light.
21.0 Cross Rt. 2, onto Turner’s Falls Bridge.
21.4 At end of bridge, turn LEFT onto 1st St., just before Shady Glen Diner.
21.6 Rest stop at Unity Park on left in shade Restrooms .1 mi down the street on right. Snacks, Drinks, Relax.
Leaving Rest Stop, head towards the river and join bike path by turning left. Follow bike path for 2.1 miles.
23.7 Bike path ends onto Depot St. Continue to stop sign.
23.8 Cross intersection following bike path signs on side streets for .3 miles to regain bike path.
24.1 Turn RIGHT regaining bike path.
24.3 Go STRAIGHT across unsigned Greenfield Rd and continue on Bike Path across Connecticut River (100 mile route riders turn LEFT on Greenfield Rd.)
25.1 Bike trail ends. Turn RIGHT on unsigned McClelland Farm Rd. Train yard is in front of you.
25.2 Turn RIGHT at ‘T’ on unsigned River Rd (E Deerfield Rd) for .9 miles.
26.1 At ‘T’ turn LEFT onto Rt. 5/10 (Greenfield Rd) for 1.2 miles. Caution, traffic may be heavy on Rt. 5/10
27.3 Turn RIGHT onto Main St to Old Deerfield for .2 miles.
27.5 Turn LEFT onto Old Main St and ride through Old Deerfield Village for .8 miles to end of street.
28.3 Bear RIGHT and downhill onto Mill Village Rd and out of village for 1.8 miles.
30.1 Turn RIGHT onto Stlllwater Rd. You have now rejoined the 100 mile route.
31.0 Turn RIGHT to cross Deerfield River and continue straight up hill for 3.3 miles.
34.3 Turn RIGHT onto Wisdom Way, and continue for 0.8 miles, crossing I-91, to Franklin County Fairgrounds.
35.1 Turn LEFT onto Fairview St at corner of Franklin County Fairgrounds and continue to stop sign.
35.5 Turn RIGHT onto Laurel St and ride downhill for .5 miles to ‘T’ intersection.
35.9 Turn LEFT onto unsigned River St and at stop light cross Rt. 2A continuing straight onto Shelbourne Rd.
36.3 Turn RIGHT onto Woodward Rd. and continue to stop sign.
37.2 Turn RIGHT onto Colrain St for 0.1 miles crossing bridge over small river.
37.4 Turn LEFT onto Riverside Dr. for 0.1 miles.
37.5 Turn LEFT onto Riverside Greenway Bike Path.
38.5 Bike path ends, turn LEFT onto Nash’s Mill Rd, unsigned, then RIGHT into Green River Park.
38.6 Final Rest Stop – Green River Park. Snacks, Drinks, Lunch. Swim and relax.
Exiting the park, turn LEFT onto Nash’s Mill Rd. and climb to stop sign.
39.2 Turn RIGHT onto Conway St and cross over I-91 for .1 miles.
39.3 Immediate LEFT onto Silver St. for .5 miles.
39.8 Turn LEFT onto Country Club Rd. and continue for 2.7 miles to stop sign.
42.5 Turn RIGHT onto Barton Rd. for 1.9 miles to stop sign.
44.4 Bear LEFT (straight) onto Rt. 5/10 north for 13.6 miles through Guilford and into Brattleboro, VT.
58.0 Cross under I-91 on Canal St and go STRAIGHT through stop light at Fairground Rd.
58.4 Continue STRAIGHT at 3 Way Stop at Elm St.
58.7 Turn SHARP RIGHT at 5 way intersection stoplight onto Vernon Rd/Rt. 142.
59.9 Turn LEFT into Grad Center Parking Lot.
